A 2.5 hour interactive workshop
Delivered online via MS Teams

Using active learning strategies, and based on latest research data, our training materials are brought to life through case studies from individuals we have successfully supported into work. Access to course materials and further resources are provided after the course.
We offer a supportive and solutions-focused framework for managers who want to empower their teams to do their best work. Most importantly, our training comes from lived experience:
Workshop facilitator Alison Clayton is an experienced Training Consultant, Facilitator and Coach with lived experience of chronic illness. She has worked in HR, then Learning and Development for an international city law firm before freelancing with top law firms and the public sector. Alison has an MSc in Organizational Behaviour and is CIPD qualified.
“I thought I knew all about disability from a legal perspective, but this course really made me think and opened my eyes to new ideas.” HR Manager

With exhaustion and burnout on the rise, we all know the importance of promoting health and wellbeing at work. But do you know how many employees in your organisation are already living with a long term condition? How many are thriving, thanks to effective support and adjustments, versus just about managing to hold down their job?
Long term health conditions are the most important area of diversity and inclusion for business in today’s challenging labour market. Astriid are experts by experience in long term conditions at work and this workshop enables organisations to level up their knowledge and strategy in this area beyond the basics of legal compliance.
Aimed at line managers as well as HR practitioners, our workshop on supporting people with long term conditions at work enables attendees to:
⦁ Understand the dynamics of ‘visible’ versus ‘invisible’ disabilities in the workplace.
⦁ Appreciate the benefits of supporting people with long-term conditions in work, as well as the risks of not doing so
⦁ Create a safe environment for people with long-term conditions to have open conversations about health, disability and work.
⦁ Identify workplace adjustments which are helpful for many types of long term health condition.
⦁ Communicate confidently about health and disability with colleagues
⦁ Play your part in discussions and actions within your organisation to promote an inclusive culture for people with long-term conditions.
