My name is Mike Clark. We can’t all be good at everything in running a business. As much as you may feel you are in control of things, whether you are a start-up or a high growth SME, something may not be quite right in your understanding of how well you think your business is doing.

I help business owners, from start-ups to £10m in revenue, understand their numbers and provide a clear, concise, and accurate assessment of them.

My passion is to find new, profitable, and more powerful ways of helping owners to transform their businesses through better reporting, structural change, and improve processes from logistics to HR management, in order to create growth.

My training in business started after I qualified as an Accountant in the 1980’s and after 30 years of working in a variety of sectors, I have gained the skills to see what does and does not work in building a business.

In addition to the consulting work, I part own a company that provides digital sports education to a niche sector. We do all our own production and film editing with a large Facebook following. In the near future, we will be participating in a new venture offering online courses, with follow-up support and mentoring, to tech start-up companies.

Always keen to look at working with people through joint ventures. I enjoy making new acquaintances, so please get in touch if you want to discuss business.

My specialties are: Business Finance, Start Ups, Business Strategy, Accounting, Social Media, Film Editing, Creative Direction, and Online Campaigns.

Founded by David Shutts OBE following his cancer diagnosis, Astriid believes that the value of work is far more than the wages paid. Employment provides routine, a sense of normality, challenges and rewards, and when approached correctly, can also facilitate a greater sense of wellbeing. Astriid, a UK charity founded in 2018, helps bridge the gap between the Invisible Talent Pool (people with chronic illnesses who wish to pursue volunteering or employment), and the UK skills crisis. Astriid looks to find meaningful employment for people with long-term health issues and their carers.

Mike Clark is the Finance Director of Astriid.
