Oh, my word – we’ve only gone and done it! Last evening, on day 26 of the Astriid Challenge, we passed our target milestone of 40,075 km – enough to power us around the globe. A monumental individual and team effort; cycling and hiking, running and ‘mudding’, and not forgetting the magnificent effort of those who covered less distance, but strained every sinew to make their contribution. From all of us at Astriid HQ: thank you, thank you, thank you!
But it’s not over yet. If you still have challenges to overcome, targets to meet, then please don’t stop. We want to push this movement to even greater heights and learn just what is possible from the full 31 days of competition. And because we’ve passed our target it gives us all a fresh opportunity to tell all our supporters about our success. Across social media, please redouble your efforts to turn our collective achievement into cash donations. Please share the stories and the images from around the world – from India to Mexico; from Ireland to France, and across all corners of the UK.
These funds will help our small charity to continue to deliver what it’s mission expects; connecting people with long-term health conditions to meaningful work. From all of these candidates that we are now able to help, please accept our huge thanks and take a bow, dear friends – you have done a quite brilliant job.
